Marijuana, or pot, as it’s known colloquially, is still illegal in many parts of the world. However, the Marijuana plant has hundreds of compounds, or chemical components, not all of which contribute to the plant’s signature “high.” Cannabidiol is one of those chemical constituents. Cannabidiol, reputed to have many health-promoting attributes, is already available in some legally prescribed drugs, including British products, Sativex and Epidiolex. In fact, Britain has taken a big leap, by ruling that such drugs are in fact medicines, as well as by allowing those companies that produce them the means to license and sell such products.
